Moral values are something that all parents should teach to their children but there should be a strong reason for them to do the same. The modern world requires a strong value system, so human beings can walk through the entirety of life as good human beings. Anytime you see children misbehaving, stealing, and all kinds of bad behavior, it only means that their value system is lacking or never even existed. Teaching moral values to students is as important as teaching them math, science, or any other academic subject. If your child is having tantrums, anger issues, or dishonesty then moral values is the way by which you can change the behavior of your child. The children will understand and enjoy moral lessons more if they start learning them at an early age. Moral values and lessons must become part of a child’s foundation from the moment they are born.

Let’s understand the Importance of Moral values from a short story.
Once upon a time, there was a boy who didn’t have anything to play. He used to play with old toys but one fine day he found a pond and all of a sudden, a goddess appeared from that pond. The boy was shocked, later on, the goddess asked the boy to give her his old toys but since the boy already didn’t have anything to play with, He denied the demand. Goddess said to the boy that “If you will not sacrifice today then you will not receive greater rewards. After hearing this the boy gave his toy to the goddess and in return goddess gave him new toys. Now the boy came in greed and started throwing everything in the Pond. Goddess was observing this and all of a sudden boy brought his grandmother and was about to push her in the pond saying that “my grandmother will become young”.
Goddess appeared and denied the boy’s request but the boy came in anger and started making fun of the goddess. Goddess took everything from the boy and returned his old things to him. The boy finally understood that He came in greed and without being honest threw everything in the pond with the expectation that everything will become new, He disrespected the goddess. He forgot the family attachment with his grandmother and because of his all-bad deeds, he lost everything.

We must respect everyone, regardless of age, gender, and social status. It is important for your child to develop respect for elders and strangers at an early age as it is an important moral value to take into consideration. It is also important to teach them that respect can only be earned and cannot be demanded and to earn respect it is important to do good karma. Respect is the first moral value and if your child will learn, he or she will climb the leaders of humbleness.

2)Karma

Karma is one of the moral values which is also mentioned in Bhagwat Geeta. Many people and parents think that concepts like karma are very early to be taught to a child but in today’s world, it is important. A child should know that whatever good or bad deed was done by him or her will come in return that is the reason it is important to be a good human.

3)Honesty

Honesty is the word that majorly defines moral values We say that honesty is the best policy and it is definitely true. Honesty should be taught from an early age as a valuable value. Your child should be encouraged to tell the truth no matter what mistake he/she may have made.

The role of the family in children’s lives is very important. In essence, it shapes them and nurtures them as adults. Before anyone, it is the family who teaches moral values to their children.
