Become Mentally Strong With 5 Jaw Slapping Advices From A Life Coach

We can overcome many life challenges and difficult situations by becoming mentally strong. A strong mindset helps you to see things clearly and focus more on what you can do rather than things that are out of your control.

You may have the highest IQ but without being mentally strong it can get impossible to achieve your goals and actually fulfil your dreams. Many people have tasted success and happiness because they have learned how to become mentally strong.

 

We asked The Holistic Living Life Coach on how he has managed to achieve so much despite of facing many setbacks and heartbreaks.

Let me start by saying that becoming mentally strong is not an overnight thing. It is a process that requires willpower, consistency, and patience. In fact, I believe that becoming mentally strong is a life-long journey.

 

Hello, I am Ravi, a 70 years young man, and a certified life coach. I lost my lovely wife to COVID last year, and now I live alone with my pet dog. Kind of like the character from the movie UP which my granddaughter had forced me to watch.

 

People say that the way I choose to live my life is liberating and inspiring. My daughters compare me to a mountain, always standing tall no matter what. However, it has taken a lot of practice and conscious effort to be the man I am today.

 

 I have had my share of terrible experiences, great losses, deep pain, and suffering too. In retrospect, I am grateful for everything that happened to me because that has shaped me into the person I am today.

 

I don’t know how many of you will be willing to read an article written by an old man like me. But I am here to share my personal wisdom that has made me mentally strong. I genuinely hope you read and practice in your life as well.

 

#1 Advice to become mentally strong

I have a strong embedded philosophy that everything in life is temporary. This is more like a truth rather than my philosophy. The pain, the happiness, good times, bad times, the people you love, the people you left, the materialistic things you possess, and the things you desire, all of them are temporary, right? 

 

This truth helps me to stay calm and patient in all situations in my life. In good times, I remain humble and in bad times I remain patient because I know both of them will eventually pass.

 

#2 Advice to become mentally strong

Do not run behind worldly desires. If you want to own anything, then own relationships that nurture your soul, help you grow, and support you.

 

Prioritize your relationships over materialistic things. However, that doesn’t mean you don’t work for what you want, but if it ever comes to choosing between soulful relationships and materialistic things then try to choose your relationships.

 

#3 Advice to become mentally strong

Understand that your mind, body, and soul are connected. If any one of them suffers then it creates a domino effect. To remain mentally strong, you also need to strengthen your body and protect your soul.

 

Be consistent with your physical exercise, and give time to activities that make your soul happy even if it means binge-watching your favourite Netflix show.

 

#4 Advice to become mentally strong

Practice gratitude. You may have heard this a lot of times but being grateful for what you have fills your life with peace and happiness

 

#5 Advice to become mentally strong

And finally, the most important one. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. Let yourself cry, ask for what you need, and let people in. Let people love you. Making walls around you is overrated and glamorized for all the wrong reasons.

 

 I have been betrayed by my close ones many times in my life, but I have realized that it is simply a reflection of their character and not much to do with mine.
