Ms. Kavita Neelakantan:(Career Coaching I Future Skills Development) In the Future of Work, people and organizations will have to constantly reinvent themselves, demonstrate agility and make learning their topmost priority. I prepare them for this Future of Work through
– Career Development and Career Transition Coaching which enables you to figure out how to align your work to your talents, needs, life-stage, values and energy. Especially relevant to mid-senior individuals who are at career crossroads and want to reinvent themselves
– Agile Leadership development which enables leaders to be agile from inside (cognitive and emotional agility), thus responding to complex and disruptive environments. For organizations who take a strength-based view of their people and want to develop leaders who can deeply sense and respond to a dynamic environment
– Learning design and Future skills development for institutions and organizations.
Why I do what I do: I have always been very curious and linear careers didn’t appeal to me. So I explored creating work around my range of interests, and have been a writer, social entrepreneur, researcher, language teacher, trainer, SAHM and coach, sometimes doing more than just one of these at a time. Having gone through these transitions and career re- inventions, I understand how one’s personal narratives of oneself shape one’s professional choices and decisions and how we can consciously change these. I enjoy coaching people who are in transition/contemplating one, because I see this as a space ripe with possibilities.
My expertise: I have T-shaped skills with deep experience in Coaching & Personal Growth, Facilitation, L&D, Behavioral Change and wide experience across Talent Development, Organization Development, Change Management, Organizational Transformation.
Career counsellors assist persons who have inquiries about various occupations and educational options. If you’re looking for work, working with a career counsellor can help you make the most of the planning and decision-making process, resulting in a job path that’s tailored to your specific needs. Some high school counsellors assist students in making college and career decisions. Others work in higher education, advising university students who are having trouble choosing a major or selecting what they want to do after graduation. Some counsellors focus on working with adults who have already entered the workforce. These people may seek the advice of a career counsellor because they are thinking about changing occupations, wish to grow in their existing jobs, or need help finding new work after being laid off.
