- Brief Description:A Tarot pack consist of 78 cards altogether, out of that 22 are Major Arcana. The Major Arcana cards are more significant than the cards of Minor Arcana as they symbolise major changes in client’s life. The other 56 Cards form the Minor Arcana and are split into 4 suits: Wands, Cups, Swords & Pentacles. Each suits has 10 numbered cards & 4 court cards (Page, Knight, Queen, King). So altogether 14 cards are in each suit.

According to Tarot History the first tarot Decks were created as a game. The decks were used to play game called Triumph that was similar to Bridge. The game spread quickly to all parts of Europe.
Tarot Cards were not originally used for fortune telling, the original purpose of cards was for playing games, the actual games played varied between cultures although the most popular was the French tarot game known as “Tarock”.
