What Does A Healthy Relationship Look Like?
The picture of a healthy relationship needs to be painted with conscious and consistent work on part of both the partners.
Our idea of a healthy relationship is often influenced by the dazzling pictures of our celebrities’ love life. But behind the glitz and the glamour there is a real picture of what a healthy relationship looks like and that picture is often painted with conscious and consistent work on the relationship.
The life of celebrities is more often an advertisement board displayed in the middle of a busy highway. And as viewers we feel that we are entitled to know every detail of our favorite celebrity’s personal and professional affairs. But do we go too far when it comes to their relationships and marriage?
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif made a decision to keep their relationship a private affair and to a very large extent they were successful at it but on the internet, nobody is safe for too long. We took the minimum information we had about their marriage and twisted it into a trending topic for our videos, blogs and memes. However, was this obsession justified and moreover what does it say about us?
We believe, probing into anyone’s privacy, be it a popular face or not, is never justified but when we dig a little deeper in the emotional aspects of this obsession, we can see a glimpse of hopes and dreams that each one of us hold in our hopelessly romantic hearts. The look of fondness and affection that reflected in their eyes for each other was the perfect ‘aww’ moment and we couldn’t hep but wonder when will we get our ‘aww’ moment.
Relationships and love occupy a lot of space in our mind and heart. We often ponder over the question ‘When and How can I get my perfect relationship?’. The carefully edited pictures of our beloved celebrities’ loving relationships definitely ring a bell in our hearts but a loving relationship requires a lot of care as well. There are many concerns that affect a relationship such as such as lack of communication, separation anxiety, jealousy, stress or work-life imbalance and working through these problems is perhaps the biggest indicator of a successful relationship.

In fact, for a lot of celebrities seeking professional help in form of couple therapy has proved to be a catalyst in their relationship.
The iconic Hollywood couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have openly talked about the benefits that couple counseling have yielded for them. Another power couple Dax Shepherd and Kristen Bell in an interview with US weekly said, ““We are opposites and it has taken a tremendous amount of work and therapy for us to coexist,” he said. ““My only fear is that people see us and think, ‘Oh, I just need to find my Kristen Bell.’ That’s not true. You’ll find your Kristen Bell but guess what, now the work starts. [Relationships] are labor intensive. If you want them to last, they are labor intensive.” Hence, seeking for help and support in our pursuit of happy endings is brave and highly effective in making it last.
The brewing interest in not only Vic-Kat’s marriage but also in other celebrities’ love life, perhaps, reflects our yearning for positive and loving relationships. And it is completely human to seek for fulfilling relationships, after all, it is love that makes the world go round, right?
