Ms. Falak-Parenting Coach

“Back in 2010, in the cold month of November when my daughter came into this world. I didn’t connect instantly with her. Yes, that’s right… If you see us now, you won’t believe it’s true.

My dreams of being a perfect mum crashed. I wasn’t prepared for what was in store for me in the next few months or years. The shift to a new city without any help and being without a job for the first time after graduation was taking a toll on my life. Just a super supportive husband and a hands-on co-parent didn’t work.

I started shouting, having meltdowns… Yes, that’s me I’m talking about. I have had my share of parenting struggles, I was not connected to my then 3-year-old daughter like I now am to her at 10.

I clearly remember the time, I wanted to run away from everything. Some days were so bad, I didn’t want to leave the bed, I felt I was not suitable to be a parent. Thankfully, better sense prevailed, and I thought I am so good with other children, why not my child? I started trying, taking out time for her, even if it was half an hour a day. I started trusting her more and talking with her… Whenever I faced problems as a parent, I tried to work on solutions and understand children a little better. I took help and everything started taking a U-Turn. The journey was long, but I stayed focused, with my husband by my side.

It took time but I was consistent. Now if you see Z and me, you will see two beautifully bonded individuals.”

Working with children and families is something Falak has been doing for over a decade now. She loves being an educator and being able to work with parents discussing and finding solutions to their struggles. She is super happy to work with children and teenagers incapacity of a counselor.

Through Falak’s journey as an educator, her counseling, her life coach training, innumerable parenting books, her Montessori training she began to understand children and parenting a little more.

Being a parent coach and a counselor is not a career for her, it is her calling, it is something Falak has been doing unknowingly for years before she started formally calling herself a Parent Coach and a Counselor. Parenting Coach

A parent coach is a consultant who helps and supports parents to identify their parenting struggles while creating a plan on how to achieve their goals and navigate difficult situations. Parents can seek the help of a parenting coach to address issues like behavioural challenges, Seperation of parents, learning difficulties, social adjustment problems, communication issues, attachment issues, etc. They can also support parents whose children are experiencing mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, etc. Parenting coaches are also equipped to support parents whose children Child Bullying have specific developmental issues, special needs or even physical disabilities.
